| Established

of Engineering Companies,
Inc. is the only statewide
organization committed to
the business of consulting
engineering. Consulting
Engineers’ specialties
encompass the spectrum of
engineering technology including
fields of: Architectural,
Acoustical, Environmental,
Industrial, Civil, Electrical,
Structural, Mechanical,
Chemical, Metallurgical,
Geotechnical, Petroleum
and Energy Engineering.
|
| |
| The
Texas Council of Engineering
Companies is devoted to
the advancement of the practice
of consulting engineering,
to the promotion of private
enterprise, protection of
public welfare, and to the
improvement of the economic
status of professional engineers
engaged in the practice
of consulting engineering.
It is the forum for interchange
of thought and experience
among consulting engineers,
for mutual understanding,
and for improvement for
engineering, business practices,
and professional procedures.
Texas-CEC is the source
for information and cooperative
services for common purposes
and benefits to all members
in the various branches
throughout Texas, and disseminates
information explaining the
services and value of consulting
engineers to other professional
organizations, businesses,
government entities, and
to the general public. |
| |
| Headquartered
in Austin, Texas, the Council
is comprised of 300 member
firms that vary in size
from large staffs with diversified
practices to individuals
practicing in specialized
branches of the profession.
Size and work have no relation
to eligibility for membership.
The main criteria are the
professional qualifications
of the firm and its principles.
Individual members and representatives
of the firm must be professionally
licensed practicing consulting
engineers, as sole proprietors,
partners, or shareholding
officers of corporations
offering engineering and
planning services. Their
engineering firms have no
commercial sales, or contracting
affiliations that may cause
conflict of interest with
the objectives of the Texas
Council of Engineering Companies.
Our main goal at Texas-CEC
is to help the Consulting
Engineer put limitations
on liabilities associated
with the practice, while
expanding markets locally
and nationally. |
